The Cologne Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology is part of an extensive international research network and maintains strong connections with universities in Africa, Asia, and North America.
In both the Bachelor's and Master's programmes in Anthropology, studying abroad is integrated into Supplementary Module 2. This gives students the opportunity to deepen their regional interests, acquire language skills, and prepare for academic and/or professional work in international contexts.
Students who wish to study for one or two semesters at the department's partner universities should inform themselves early about the specific requirements at each partner institution (e.g., language proficiency).
